US oil at record output, energy investors act as if next bust is already too close for comfort

The lenders have not called the shale players to task even though the Ultimate Economic Recovery (UER) is based on the first two years of production (then it falls off a cliff), the ‘sweet spots’ have already been drilled and due to the production profiles of shale wells you have to continuously drill to keep your production up. Why would the lenders suddenly get concerned?
