I was unaware that individual states had rev share with drillers/overall activity. This may be worth adding to the question you (Rita) asked a while back about where the money goes for land auctions. Also interesting that there is a cap at $176 million that Louisiana and coastal parishes could receive under GOMESA. Politics.

@patrickobrian – I was impressed by this as well. Here’s more information on the Gulf of Mexico Energy Securities Act for those interested: https://www.boem.gov/Revenue-Sharing/. Haven’t been able to find out how much money since 2006 has been paid in royalties – will share if I find it.
